The exhibition Ground Lost offers a complex account of the psycho-social responses to rethink the acute crises of collective memory and imagination. Through the notion of drawing rare combinations from the existing deck of cards, subjective imagination and modes of resistance inscribed within spatial and temporal discontinuities attempt to establish the vital distinctions that are being erased or exchanged. In a situation in which the causal relation between past and future seems to be disconnected, and the markers that used to guide the understanding of our political subjectivities become misleading, and failed expectations, misdirection and emptied gestures are taken as a point for negotiations of new possibilities.
