On Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 2 pm CET join us on zoom<\/a> platform for the online public lecture <\/a>Letter to Cecilia Vicu\u00f1a<\/em> by Miguel A. L\u00f3pez.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Combining the memories related to his friendship with the artist Cecilia Vicu\u00f1a<\/strong> and the reflections on her work, this lecture introduces Vicu\u00f1a\u2019s sharp creative practice in the form of a letter addressed to the artist. Cecilia Vicu\u00f1a is a poet, artist, filmmaker, and activist whose works explore language, memory, dissolution, extinction, and exile. Central to her practice are the pressing concerns of the modern world, including ecological destruction, human rights, cultural homogenization, and economic disparity. The presentation Letter to Cecilia Vicu\u00f1a shares Miguel A. L\u00f3pez<\/strong>\u2019s intimate perspective on working with Vicu\u00f1a over many years, as well as the impact of her visceral entanglements between words and seed, sound and thread, quipu and blood.<\/p>\n
