{"id":941,"date":"2022-08-22T19:02:30","date_gmt":"2022-08-22T17:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whw.hr\/hr\/dogadjanja\/\/"},"modified":"2023-02-19T12:43:12","modified_gmt":"2023-02-19T11:43:12","slug":"supostojanje-prostori-zvuka","status":"publish","type":"dogadjanja","link":"https:\/\/www.whw.hr\/%dogadjanja-slug%\/supostojanje-prostori-zvuka\/","title":{"rendered":"Coexistance \u2013 Spaces of Sound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The project Coexistence I: Spaces of sound explored and presented the potential of sound as an artistic intervention that interacts with other sounds, spaces and the field of the visual, socio-economic context and, in particular, the relationship of sound to observers and listeners.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whw.hr\/en\/programme\/anything-heard-makes-demands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Anything heard makes demands<\/em><\/a> was held from 25.06. until 18.07. 2020 in Gallery Nova, and it consisted of works and collaborations by artists <strong>Vanja Babi\u0107, Jasna \u010cagalj, Luana Loji\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Maja Rivi\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition part was complemented by research into the possibility of coexistence of sound and visual interpretation of sound installations within the gallery space. Curator <strong>Martina Konto\u0161i\u0107<\/strong>, through conversations with the participants of the local art scene, began acoustic mapping of exhibition spaces (Galerija Prozori, Galerija VN, HDD galerija, Galerija Siva, etc.) by producing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/WHWSounds\/akusti%C4%8Dke-dimenzije-izlo%C5%BEbenih-prostora-i-dio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">podcasts<\/a> that will be permanently available on the WHW mixcloud channel.<\/p>\n<p>A significant part of the project was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NAO0g01WY2Y&amp;feature=emb_title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Conversation on sound curation<\/em> <\/a>with <strong>Natasha Kadin, Tereza Tekli\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Evelina Turkovi\u0107<\/strong>. It was dedicated to the translation of sound into gallery and other physical spaces and their coexistence with the visual.<\/p>\n<p>A kind of culmination of the project is the <em>Notes on Sound<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/WHWSounds\/bilje%C5%A1ke-o-zvuku\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">podcast<\/a>, in which <strong>Vanja Babi\u0107, Luana Loji\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Maja Rivi\u0107<\/strong>, with the intervention of <strong>Jasna \u010cagalj<\/strong>, articulate with their voice and sound the process of creation of the exhibition and mutual collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>The opportunity for another experiment of translating sound into text and tactile experience was also the artistic publication <em>Anything heard makes demands<\/em> as another collaboration of artists who participated in this project.<\/p>\n<a class=\"maxbutton-1 maxbutton maxbutton-whw-button\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whw.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Sve-sto-cujemo-postavlja-zahtjeve_umjetnicka-knjiga.pdf\"><span class='mb-text'>Sve \u0161to \u010dujemo postavlja zahtjeve.pdf<\/span><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project Coexistence I: Spaces of sound explored and presented the potential of sound as an artistic intervention that interacts with other sounds, spaces and the field of the visual, socio-economic context and, in particular, the relationship of sound to observers and listeners.
