{"id":3721,"date":"2023-04-07T16:28:24","date_gmt":"2023-04-07T14:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whw.hr\/program\/\/"},"modified":"2023-04-18T09:53:10","modified_gmt":"2023-04-18T07:53:10","slug":"javni-prostor-kao-prostor-inkluzije-i-participacije","status":"publish","type":"dogadjanja","link":"https:\/\/www.whw.hr\/%dogadjanja-slug%\/javni-prostor-kao-prostor-inkluzije-i-participacije\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Space as Space of Inclusion and Participation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The day after the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whw.hr\/en\/programme\/prezentacija-knjige-crveni-horizont\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presentation<\/a> &nbsp;of&nbsp;<strong>Red <em>Horizon<\/em><\/strong> book, kuda.org will continue its collaboration with <strong>\u017divi Atelje DK<\/strong> on the program <em><strong>Public Space as Space of Inclusion and Participation<\/strong><\/em> that began last year, thus initiating the creation of a mural in the courtyard of \u017divi Atelje in Ilica. Joining the informal conversation are curator and art historian <strong>Jelena Vesi\u0107<\/strong> from Belgrade, and muralist Vedran \u0160timac from Zagreb. \u0160timac is going to give a brief presentation on how murals can contribute to community-building, but also how community and context create murals. The event is envisioned as a lecture followed by a moderated discussion and, finally, an informal gathering. Even though the event is open to the general public, \u017divi Atelje DK particularly invites the local residents, and is open to suggestions on how to enrich their courtyard.<\/p>\n<p>The event is a part of the pilot program <em>Encounters in the Centre<\/em> which is supported by the City of Zagreb&#8217;s special funding scheme Culture and Art in the Community. They are also an integral part of the program implemented by <em>Communities of Learning<\/em>, a platform consisting of six organizations: What, How and for Whom (WHW) and \u017divi Atelje DK (Zagreb), kuda.org, (Novi Sad), Neue Nachbarschaft \/ Moabit e.V.
