The exhibition Day by day<\/em>, with works by BADco<\/strong>.<\/a>, Vahida Ramujki\u0107<\/strong><\/a> & Dejan Do\u0161ljak<\/strong> and Mladen Stilinovi\u0107<\/strong><\/a>, brings together artistic positions which have in common joint continuous interest in issues of labour, especially artistic labour, and its relationship towards the audience, local communities and art institutions. This research includes positions that artistic practice takes towards existing cultural and social institutions and wider social processes, yet not exclusively by criticizing them or through pure observation, but through long term processes and cycles of negotiation, dissolution and attempts at building new institutional practices and reconfiguring existing relations between artistic work \u2013 author \u2013 the audience. The notion of the institution is understood in the broadest meaning of the word, from the very physical aspect of the institution whose activities are spacially determined to intangible structures and mechanisms of social order. The title of the exhibition Day by day<\/em> is an allusion to the persistent, gradual and often laborious process of artistic production, but also to “invisible” work which relates to the attempts at reinstitutionalization of existing conditions.
