Affirming the approach &#8220;from below&#8221;, we strive to establish a methodological and epistemological alternative to dominant interpretations and institutionalized procedures, which place heritage at the service of reproducing hegemonic narratives.<strong><\/p>\n<p>Sanja Horvatin\u010di\u0107<\/strong> is a Research Associate at the Institute of Art History in Zagreb, Croatia. Her research focuses on modernist memorial sculpture and architecture, and the production of history through cultural practices in socialist Yugoslavia.
